[cobalt-users] error xfer logs

Each morning at 4:02am I receive a message that the server was unable to
rotate xfer logs, leaving old log in place.
I've searched and searched for different ways to state this in the archives
and finally found a message from Fabrice telling someone to look in
/etc/logrotate.d for a problem with their maillog.
I went there and sniffed around a little, sure enough in my proftpd file
there is this error:

    # ftpd doesn't handle SIGHUP properly

So my question is, why isn't it handling SIGHUP properly and does anyone
know what I can do to fix it?
The only changes I have made to anything regarding FTP is to set the timeout
to 1200 rather than the default 300, which drives me nuts.
I inserted this into proftpd.conf:

I'm looking over my proftpd.conf now and based on what Jeff has told me
regarding AnonFTP and only one domain allowed per IP, I think I might see
the problem.
I don't use AnonFTP. I have one name-based user on my main IP that does.
She's the only one on my main IP using AnonFTP.
My IP has a very short entry in proftpd.conf.
Another user, who has her own IP and AnonFTP enabled, has a really *long*
entry. She's the only one on her IP.

So I *think* the way to fix this is to take my name-based user who is using
AnonFTP and put her on her own IP... that the only domain that can use
AnonFTP is the *main* domain on the IP.

I was under the impression that she could use the AnonFTP for this IP since
I wasn't, but I'm thinking now that the main responding domain for the IP is
the only one that can use AnonFTP.

Is that correct?

I'll give it a try in the meantime...
