Hmm, mind if I borrow some of those spiffy words? :)
To keep this post on-topic...
While I agree that rants like the first above are unnecessary, Zeffie's
reply of <QUOTE>Nope</QUOTE> was pointless. I can understand Randall's
frustration when he's sees a single word response to a question where he
asked "could it be this or that?". How does "Nope" help at all but add to
the SNR ratio?
Please understand, I'm not condoning Randall's actions, but I would have
responded to Zeffie's "answer" also if I found the cause of the problem as
Randall did, just worded a bit more intelligently. Therefore, I'd get to
reply to Zeffie's response while keeping the content of the thread somewhat
useful.
This is not a flame or jab at anyone. Just a reminder to try and keep
within the posting guidelines that Dom has set (and have been accepted by
Cobalt themselves). If your response does not contain some content that
will help the list in general, please keep it to yourself or mail the flamee
directly. Then say to yourself, "I have just helped the overall quality of
the list by keeping the SNR down." and be proud of that fact.
