Hello -
We wanted to find out if it is Ok to set all of our log files with the
following directions in the Logcheck Install :
chown /var/log/messages
chmod 600 /var/log/messages
We would be doing these changes for all the log files in /var/log, which
are currently set at :
-rw-r--r-- root root cron
-rw-r--r-- root root dmesg
-rw-r--r-- root root lastlog
-rw------- root root maillog
-rw-r--r-- root root samba
-rw------- root root secure
-rw-r--r-- root root sendmail.st
-rw------- root root spooler
-rw-r--r-- root root wtmp
-rw------- root root xferlog
Would we be breaking any Cobalt specific settings if we did?
Thx,
--
