[cobalt-users] RaQ4 - cobalt-psql Database setup & Interaction with system ?

Hi Folks,

is anyone having deeper knowledge on the Database Setup Cobalt is using in
the RaQ4 ?

After having fiddled around with the Postgres Database - which was not
mentioned in any documentation that all User Data was maintained in it -
the automatic Login dos not seem to work anymore - The swatch-Subsystyem
is sending me:

Subject: the PostgreSQL server is not responding

The PostgreSQL server is down and cannot be restarted.

every 15 Minutes. But, the Postgres-SQL Server is active. Thinking of an
authentication problem, I need to know how the "swatch" programm is
checking the Database is active. Stracing the output etc. brings to nothing.
All I see is that:

recv(4, "EPassword authentication failed "..., 16384, 0) = 49

So IMHO :) the authentication is failing.

Here to my Question. Can I reset the postgres-Database by using (b.e. the
/etc/cobalt/postgres.db file as reference). Or is there any document that
explains the Interaction between the Database, the eb Interface and the
related Authentication scheme ?
