Hi,
I need to tighten security on our RAQ4 but need some advice on how to do the
following.
We're currently running the pre-installed ProFTPd 1.2.0pre9 - with 1.2.0.rc2
currently available. I would like to upgrade this but am worried about
breaking whats already installed. How would I go about upgrading ProFTP to
the latest version without wrecking the box? :)
We need to close some ports that are running by default on the box. How can
I close these?
444/tcp - open - snpp
3001/tcp - open - nessusd
It has also been suggested we close:
3000/tcp - open - ppp
We're not running any dialup services. Why would PPP be running and how can
I close it, if its not needed?
Thanks in advance.
Amanda.
