Folks,

Thanks for the quick replies, both to the list and via private email.  I 
got things working by following the instructions Mark Engelhart sent me, 
and I did some more digging on the knowledge base and found the info that 
Randall had posted.

Everything is working now... and I'll remember to plug it into the UPS next 
time :)
