They ordered 1000 RaQ's up front.

And did you notice how much it costs for Additional Bandwidth?
£6.99 PER 1GB Per month ! What a complete scam!!
This is $10.14 in USD.

The higher cost is usual outside of the US. This is because the rest of us subsidise the US use of the 'net. Because traditionally the majority of sites are hosted in the US, we have to pay for the transatlantic links.

As more sites are hosted outside of the US the US will no longer be subsidised and will have to pay their fair share.

It's unlikely that bandwidth will go up in the US, as bandwidth is becoming cheaper all the time the rate of it becoming cheaper will merely slow, while outside of the US the rate of it becoming cheaper will increase.

I transfer almost 40 GIGs in a month
on some of my servers. Do the math !!!!

If i do the *Maths* it works out thus:

40Gb * $10.14perGb = $405.60

40Gb * £6.99perGb = £279.60 which at current exchange rates = $405.86 a whooping 26 cents more for UK bandwidth.

The UK2net deal for bandwidth is actually pretty good. Many places *cough* like WebFusion *cough* charge about £20 per Gb.

Hope this Helps.
