You probably should reset your log files, they are probaly what is taking up
all the space.
otherwise, here is a little help to get you started.
You will need to know what files are taking up the space. Then do the following
mkdir /home/newdirectoryname
cp fileonrootpartition /home/newdirectoryname
rm fileonrootpartition
newdirectoryname should be a new directory(folder) for the files to be moved
into. I have one called 'backup'. fileonrootpartition is the file that is in
the / partition. You don't need to link the files, if you don't need them there
in the first place. If you are trying to move system files, you need to know
exactly what you are doing.
the 'ls -l' command will list the sizes of all the files in the current
directory. This is how you can look for what to move/delete
