The RaQ3 & RaQ4 use the driver for the Intel EtherExpress Pro 10/100
network card. It appears that version they are running is one sourced
from Donald Becker (ex CESDIS at NASA, now of the Scyld Corporation) who
has been responsible for writing (and keeping up-to-date) a great many
ethernet drivers for Linux.
The eepro100 driver is well known for kicking out that error when
loaded, since many vendors (ie. Cobalt in this case; IBM also) who are
utilising the Becker eepro100 driver do *not* necessarily use the Intel
card(s). The chipset used is the same (Intel i82559), yes, but the
EEPROM will be subtlely different, hence the error.
As long as the network keeps working, you'll be OK :)
