Hello,
I have been reluctant to post this information because I can't be sure the
DupliDisk actually caused out trouble. But...
About a month ago we had one RaQ3 up and running with a "no-slot" DupliDisk
from ArcoIDE. We decided to install it on another RaQ3. After the initial
disk mirroring process, the RaQ never booted again. Both drives were
paperweights and we ended up have to replace the whole machine.
Strange as that was, the machine that was running well with the same model
of DupliDisk had a similar problem a couple of days later. I re-booted the
machine one morning because there was a problem with the GUI and it never
came up.
It seems like a terrible coincidence, but we can't come up with any other
common thread besides the DupliDisks.
I had high hopes for that RAID solution, be we simply can't afford any more
down time caused to TOTAL drive failures. My recommendation would be to find
a different solution.
Thanks,
