Hey,
Hit http://www.zope.org/ to find out more about Zope. It's
pretty hard to explain exactly what it is, because it introduces
some interesting features, that browsers understand but others
haven't really implemented, at least as openly. Such things as
DTML (Document Template Markup Language). Basically Zope can be
used to replace Apache as a web server, plus Zope comes with an
integrated search algorhythm utility (ie Altavista, Yahoo) so
that you can allow visitors to run searchs through out your own
server.
Also, think of Zope as Microsoft Frontpage on steroids. Users
that have an account on your server have the ability to log into
Zope and move files around, link them to other files, or write
new files for publishing online, all through the browser. It's a
pretty cool concept, and very well done software, even if the
documentation for it is still a little light.
Go to their website because they can obviously better describe to
you what their software does than I can.
