Simply setup all the domains as you would if they wall went to different
locations. Then modify the document root in the httpd.conf file to all look
at the same folder. This way, the server will think domain1.com is located
in /correctfolder/, so the domain name will stay put in the browser. Then
domain2.com will also be pointed to /correctfolder/, so the server will
think everything is ok.
Im 99% sure this works, for any type of parking, etc... (unless you WANT the
domain name to change for them in browser)
What im interested in finding out (if any one knows) is how to make it when
someone types in domain.com vs www.domain.com, to KEEP it at domain.com,
instead of automatically forcing the url to rewrite it self to include the
www. Every time I write domain.com the browser automatically kicks me to
www.domain.com
Any suggestions?
Clint

Subject: [cobalt-users] Redirect
Anyone know how to let the domain name writed in the browser be remaining in
the browser. f.eks if I,m writing www.domain1.com in my browser and the site
only is parked on the server and shares IP adress with www.domain2.com that
also is an virtual site, then the server automaticly redirect me to
www.domain2.com but it also writes www.domain2.com in the webbrowser. How
can I have it to have the www.domain1.com be what is remaining in the
browser window? I need this to redirect appr 100 different sites that share
the same IP adress to 100 different adresses outside the server and has
found an script named url Redirect version 1.2 at www.kastle.net that will
do this work if I can have the domain name to remain in the browser. I think
this has to do with the http_conf configuration but how ??
Best reg.
