Does this problem persist if you check your e-mail before attempting to
send? Is the error message you get the "Relaying Denied" sort?
Typically, as long as you check your mail first, you'll be able to receive
afterwards.
(If you need to change the amount of time between receiving mail and being
allowed to send, you can modify the "$timeout_minutes = 15;" line in the
/usr/local/sbin/poprelayd file.)
