Hey All,
I found this in my httpd error log recently which was rather
interesting. Can anyone explain?
[Tue Oct 17 20:24:13 2000] [notice] SIGUSR1 received. Doing graceful
restart
[Tue Oct 17 20:24:18 2000] [notice] Apache/1.3.6 (Unix) mod_perl/1.21
PHP/3.0.14 mod_perl/1.21 mod_ssl/2.2.8 OpenSSL/0
.9.2b configured -- resuming normal operations
[Tue Oct 17 20:24:18 2000] [warn] long lost child came home! (pid 28106)
[Tue Oct 17 20:24:18 2000] [warn] long lost child came home! (pid 17003)
Is this some kind of mountaind-dew spiked, three-am programmer's easter
egg joke ("long lost child came home!"), or does it indicate something I
should be worried about? Why would a SIGUSR1 messsage have been
received when I don't recall rebooting httpd...? I >did< perform a few
maintenance items in the GUI just before looking at my log however?
Thanks for any comments anyone might provide!,
~ Theo
