[cobalt-users] Qube-2 : why isn't PAM configured?

Hi

I have a Qube-2 with these packages installed:

All-Kernel_mips Release 1.0
Cobalt OS Release 4.0
Qube2-All-Security Release 3.0.2-6750
Qube2-All-System Release 3.0.2-6449
Qube2-en-OSUpdate Release 3.0

As I understand it the Qube-2 should come with PAM out-of-the-box?
However I don't have a /etc/shadow file. Why is that? Shouldn't it come
pre-configured? How do I configure it myself?

The PAM files are there:

/etc/pam.conf
/etc/pam.d
/etc/pam.d/imap
/etc/pam.d/other
/etc/pam.d/ppp
/etc/pam.d/rexec
/etc/pam.d/rlogin
/etc/pam.d/rsh
/etc/pam.d/sshd.pam
/etc/pam.d/su
/etc/security/pam_env.conf
/lib/libpam.so
/lib/libpam.so.0
/lib/libpam.so.0.64
/lib/libpam_misc.a
/lib/libpam_misc.so
/lib/libpam_misc.so.0
/lib/libpam_misc.so.0.64 etc ...

thanks
