[cobalt-users] RAQ 3i SMTP still slow after sendmail.cf edit

I have had a RAQ 3i now for 5 months.  It works great except that whenever
any of our 500 users send an email, it takes about 30 seconds before our
email clients (outlook express mostly) send the message.  Once it starts, it
goes fast.

I have searched the archives of this list and the sendmail FAQ's and seem to
find two answers to the problem.  Check your DNS and change
Timeout.ident=30s to something lower like 2s or 0s.  I have had some one
more knowledgeable than me look at my RAQ and they say the DNS is fine and I
have used vi to edit the sndmail.cf twice to change the Timeout.ident to 2s
and then to 0s with no apparent changes.

Do I have to rebuild anything after I change the sendmail.cf file?  I have
restarted the server several times since then but all I ususally do when I
finnish editing the sendmail.cf file is save it.  If I go back the change
has been done but  I didn't know if I was supposed to rebuild anything after
that.

Also, does anyone have any log files they could suggest that I check on my
RAQ3i to help me identify the actual problem?
