I use ewan.  I don't have the experience to compare it with 
much else (apart from Telix? which was horrendous) because it 
does what I want.  It is highly configurable.

The most useful feature (to me) is that I've set up each 
listed machine with a different configuration - when I 
connect to one Linux box it is yellow text on black, on 
another it is purplish text on black and so on, so I always 
know which machine I'm on.
