If it's your machine (as in you actually own it and it really is
colocated) then how did this sysadmin get in? They must have either got
your root password legitimately (by you asking for assistance, say) or
broken in at some point.
If the machine is leased from the ISP, then it's a different matter...
since it presumably 'remains their property at all times'.
I would be very suspicious if the former is true.
