Real headers, domains changed to protect the innocent:
Return-Path: <a.user@xxxxxxxx>
Received: from xxxx.xxxx.net (xxxx.net [aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd])
by my.domain.com (8.8.8/8.8.8) with ESMTP id HAA18887;

Received: from laptop.xxxx.net (userbl35.uk.uudial.com [62.188.144.142])
by xxxx.xxxx.net (8.9.2/8.9.2) with ESMTP id GAA22375;

So the fact that it's come in from a dialup connection is
fairly buried.

I think Rodolfo's covered this.
As for how AOL handles things - it's not an ISP. Simple.
