I understand that people want their e-mail to look like it come form their
own server. It just makes sense.
What I don't understand is the "I need to relay but don't want to use
pop-before-relay" junk.
To me that is like saying "I want to be a fireman but I won't wear any
protective gear"
I explain to my clients that I use Pop-before-smtp not for me, but for THIER
protection. I know also point out that 99% of my clients never notice the
Pop-before-smtp because it just works right!
As a side note I did increase the timeout value from 15 min. The default is
a little short.
