I was suspiscious of that command too... which is why I backed up the file
and checked file sizes.. makemap must be smart because it didnt clobber the
file. However, it is interesting to note that this mailing list is the
source of a lot of user help and has helped me on numerous occasions (moreso
than cobalt support and thats a fact) but it is true to say that there is
bad advice and wrong commands there within the archives.. and one should
always check the whole thread. I think I posted a typo yesterday.. no biggy
but can confuse people searching the archives..

Don't -- DON'T run this command.
I haven't tried it -- but looks like something that will ruin your
virtusertable (unless makemap is smart enough, that it save to the
same file it's loading from).

This is the right command to use.

This is correct. There should be no output.

Still 'user unknown' despite the catch-all alias. Ive ruled out the
virtusertable because we can add domains and users without a problem.. just
one particular domain will not catch-all for some reason.
