[cobalt-users] raq3 mail problem

Hi,
Ive been in control of a raq3 server for a few weeks now and everything was 
working fine over a number of virtual sites until 3 days ago when mail 
simply stopped working.
When sending mail the action is simply timed out and all attempts to send 
mail to an address hosted on the server just gets a failed delivery notice.
I have learnt and checked out the dns setup and I have an A-record, reverse 
lookup and an MX record for each of my domains. I also have accept email 
ticked in both the server and site settings and the sites themselves are 
still working fine. I have read the manual, all the help guides i can find 
and have spent the last day trawling through the archive of this mailing 
list with no luck.

Please could anyone with any advice or solutions please shere them with me 
as I have run out of ideas and my head is starting to hurt...
