This is driving' me nuts.
Just tried to install
http://pkg.nl.cobalt.com/i386/RaQ3-RaQ4-MySQL-3.22.32-1.pkg via gui, but it
did not work, although it lists mysql as installed. But if try to locate
mysql I can only find an empty directory under /home/mysql. So I copied the
pkg to my RaQ4r with wget and tried to install it via telnet using
cobalt_upgrade but I do get an error-message, that the software is already
installed. Well then. I tried to uninstall the pkg with cobalt_uninstall and
get a "That package is not installed", although obviously it is still
installed. So I cannot uninstall nor install, which makes it a bit
complicated ;-). Since I am a dummy I would like to stick to these packages,
because they seem to be so practical.
So may question is: Is there a way to force the RaQ to either ignore the old
installation or overwrite it with a new. Is there an entry somewhere in a
config-file telling the RaQ that something is installed or not, which I can
alter.
Gosh, it took me so much time to get used to NT and now I have to start all
over again - I am too old for this ;-).
Thanks for your kind help.
Regards
Cedric
