[cobalt-users] Cannot verify (existence of server)

Having trawled the archives (unsuccesfully) I am driven to posting this
dilemma:
When changing the primary dns of a customer's domain to point to one of our
raq 3s I get this error from the registration authority:
"Unable to update nameservers: Command failed: unable to verify existence of
nameserver (name of our raq). Error# 480"
The raq is hosting the site using a shared IP with about 10 sites all
working ok.
Another 30 sites are being hosted on the raq with individual IP's all of
which also use the raq for primary dns and are working fine.
The secondary dns points to a different machine and also works just fine.
It's not the end of the world because if I change the primary dns to a
different box; either another raq or another server (funnily enough running
Solaris!!!) it verifies and works fine.
Having said that, it would be good to know what's going on.
Any ideas?
TIA
