Somehow something on my RAQ2 changed and now I cant access anything via the
web including the cobalt admin panel to do a restore.. it looks like apache
stopped and when I try to restart it gives me an error... anyone know is
there a way I can restore my last backup from the telnet prompt?

Frank,
Rummage around in your options or settings for CuteFTP. There should be a
selection box for ASCII or Binary, or AutoDetect. If not this is a whimpy
client, uninstall CuteFTP and try something else. WS-FTP is generally a
solid
one.

It is very easy to setup the OpenSRS client on a RAQ, Just install the mods

ACK! CuteFTP is a great client :^) Transfer settings are set to
"Autodetsct" by default. In CuteFTP 4.0 check out
Edit -> Settings then choose Connection -> ASCII/Binary
for file type and manual bin/ascii settings.

Thanks, Jeff. But, while your answer is correct about hostnames for
websites, the original thread is about the catchall address to use
for domains hosted on RaQ's/Qubes. Someone said the catchall address
should not be "@domain.com" but rather "@www.domain.com".
This is when I asked whether the host should always be "www" or could
be some other name.

if you use a command line ftp ASCII is the default mode type binary to
change modes.

ACK! CuteFTP is a great client :^) Transfer settings are set to
"Autodetsct" by default. In CuteFTP 4.0 check out
Edit -> Settings then choose Connection -> ASCII/Binary
for file type and manual bin/ascii settings.

Rummage around in your options or settings for CuteFTP. There should be a
selection box for ASCII or Binary, or AutoDetect. If not this is a whimpy
client, uninstall CuteFTP and try something else. WS-FTP is generally a
solid
one.
