On your Qube, what have you entered for DNS Servers in the Network Setup?

If you just want local DNS, then tell the Qube to use itself as its DNS
Server ... naturally you will have to configure your Qube as a DNS. I'd
suggest you set it up for your domain.

If you don't nominate an external DNS your Qube won't try to connect to one.
The downside will be that it won't be able to relay mail to external hosts,
but I understand you only want it for local email anyway.

On my Gateway Microserver I have the lookback address 127.0.0.1 set as its
Primary DNS. As I want to relay to external hosts I have the Secondary DNS
set to an external DNS.

On a Qube2, the Cobalt GUI won't accept the loopback address as a valid DNS
so you'll have to use the IP address of the Primary Ethernet Interface.

Cheers, Malcolm
