Maybe the entries for these domains are hard coded in the old ISP's DNS server
If this is the case are your clients are connecting to the old ISP they
would never reach the sites unless these
records were removed
do an nslookup on the old ISP's DNS servers are make sure that the are not
authoritive for the domains

I have been having similar problems. I was reselling space on someone
elses server, and I just recently got a Raq3 and transfered
all the sites and updated the DNS records for over 15 sites. The problem
that I am having is that all the transfered sites resolve
to the new server about 1/2 the time and resolve to the old server the
other 1/2 of the time. I have been tearing my hair out for 3
weeks trying to deal with the problem. A couple of the sites I have
exactly the same email problem (the http resolves to the new
server, and the mail resolves to the old server). I think it's a problem
with the DNS propagation through the internet and
hopefully it will eventually sort itself out, but it has been a customer
service nightmare.
