Hello,

> Does anyone here use webfusion ? What are they like?

I'm afraid that I cannot recommend Webfusion. In my experience, their
network has had serious loading problems in the past with little or no
resolution at the time (though, admittedly lately it has improved but they
denied they had any problems to me for weeks before admitting that they
did). They generally take 4-5 days to answer my emails which I have to
resend 2-3 times.

The most important thing, which I'm killing myself for not checking before
signing up <sigh> is that they have NO SLA (Service Level Agreement) - I
hate myself so much for not checking this out.

They refused point-blank to install a second hard drive for us into our
RaQ3i which we lease from them!!!! <sigh>

They won't renegotiate the license terms with respect to their lowering
prices or you wanting out of your contract. I know they have no obligation
to do this, but RackSpace in the USA did both of these for us, and Alcom in
the UK reduced our lease price instantly they reduced their offer prices.
Again Webfusion refuse to budge <sigh>.

As soon as our contract is up with them we're gone.

I can highly recommend Alcom Internetix in the UK http://www.alcom.co.uk -
they might not be the cheapest, but they work WITH you (not against you).
They are friendly, responsive, they let us have another hard drive installed
(I still cannot believe this one - I have since contacted over 10 leasing
co-lo's and the *all*, without fail, said they'd be happy to do this) and
they dropped our lease price when their server prices fell. Oh, and they
have an SLA!

Jonathan Michaelson
