Hello all,
I've read several messages in this list related to the Linux limitation of
32 "admins" and BAM!, no FTP for "admin". I've gotten in the habit of
telneting in and deleting "admin" from the etc/group file after adding every
new v-site.
The problem I've just noticed is that, even after removing "admin" from the
virtual site's entry in the the etc/group file, anytime the site admin or
any user of the virtual site adds, modifies, or deletes a user through the
siteadmin GUI, the machine adds "admin" back to their entry in the etc/group
file.
As you can imagine this really SUCKS!
Does anyone have any suggestions to work around this problem?
Is this supposed to happen?
Is there anyway to modify the scripts that create the virtual site so that
admin is not added to every new v-site?
I know this probably would void the Cobalt warranty, B.F.D, I doubt they
would honor it anyway!
Thanks,
Robert Hughes
