[cobalt-users] Strange DNS Issue

I added a new virtual site, (first one since the 3.0 OS Upgrade). I pointed
the site to 209.196.37.116, as I do many others for this customer. Added the
site to the DNS, again pointing to 209.196.37.116. The domain
www.burtonawards.com was never on the server before, so there's no DNS
caching issue. When I tried to bring up the site, it redirected to .115
instead!
All the records properly showed, (since changed), 209.196.37.116 but somehow
if I ran a traceroute to this never before used domain on my server, it
showed up as 209.196.37.116 pointing to 209.196.37.115.
Since I have .115 to use, I just changed all the DNS records to that and
changed the virtual site setting to 115. So, now it works.
Anyone ever see this before? I can't figure out where the DNS picked up the
wrong IP, much less got it cached so quickly into the zone files as if it
had been there all along.
