RE: [cobalt-users] FTP connection on RAQ3



It's a DNS problem. Make sure you have two proper DNS IPs set up at the
target machine (the one you're trying to FTP in). What happens is that every
time that you attempt an FTP (or telnet) connection, the target machine
looks up your IP (via DNS), and if you don't have proper DNS machines, you
get the long wait, until the machine eventually times out.

I had this exact same problem with my RaQ4 :) My primary DNS was screwy...

I had run into this recently, and thought that it was an isolated problem
with the RaQ.  If anyone has anymore information on this, I would certainly
be interested in hearing it.  I blamed it on the network, but now I am
thinking that it really is the RaQ.
