Hi,
I just got a RAQ3 the other day and set it up.
Having worked on several MIPS platforms as a developer, I have
to say that this is an excellent product -- from the ground up.
Awesome!
Naturally, being a developer, I have a few questions:
1) What packages do I need to install to build a full kernel from scratch
and where are they located?
2) I chose to mirror my two (2) 10GB disks. What utilities are there to
administer volumes and perform synchronization tasks? Is there any
more low-level documentation for the RAID driver or is the source code
available in the kernel release?
3) Does anyone know where the source code for the LCD driver is or
the source for the utilities to manipulate them?
4) What SCSI tape devices are supported? I have not yet seen this
discussed in any of the archives other than a reference to another
network RAID appliance. What CAN the SCSI be used for? Looking
at /proc, I see there is an NCR SCSI chip out there?
5) Finally, is any architectural-specific documentation available from
Cobalt?
Many thanks in advance.
