[cobalt-users] mirroring

I would like to know in simple terms is their a way to mirror the two hard
drives in my raq 3i so that if one fails the other keeps the system up and
running. I alrady have my hard drives mirrored on my windows 2000 server and
it was so simple, But cobalt wants you to buy another server and then buy
their mirroring program for a 1000 dollars. I even considered this so I ask
cobalt tech support and their engineers a simple question.
I have a raq 3i and it has 2 hard drives so why can't your mirrioring
program mirror 2 raq's if both raq's have the same hardware, well some said
it would and some said it wouldn't so They want me to spend thousands of
dollars on a second server, buy thier mirroring software and remove the
second hard drive from my system for it to mirror the 2 servers. So I
decided to contact the people that probably know more than cobalt, you guys
in the knowledge base. It seems to me that you wouldn't need to buy a second
server you could just hire someone to do the programming necessary to make
the to hard drives in the same server mirror each other, I'm quite sure
cobalt knows how to do this but they couldn't chagre you for a new server
and $1000 for the extra software. I am willing to hire someone if necessary.
thanks Otis
