I am all for people helping others, and I agree that this method for so 
doing is excellent, but what is all this over the top SERIOUS crap!

Why is this mailing list populated by a small minority of extremely sad 
"etiquette" police?

If you want to help, HELP, but if someone makes a hash in their method of 
posting, dangerous use of spelling, lapse of moral duty in not scouring the 
archives, total lack of human compassion in the  ridiculously extravagant 
use of bandwidth, complete disregard for the human optic nerve by listing 
the responded message in the wrong order  and/or other earth stopping 
misdemeanours, so what? What happened to live and let live?

Help is help but give these guys a break!

I have been in this industry from day one, I have given my advice over 
numerous newsgroups and mailing lists for free WITHOUT CONDITIONS, why can't 
everyone else?

I know by making this statement I am envoking the wrath of these superior 
beings who have never erred and were never newbies themselves, but who 
cares? they hardly figure high in the overall scheme of things.

Now don't get me wrong, I accept that INTENTIONAL abuse of newsgroups and 
mailing lists is totally wrong, the keyword here is intentional, and if you 
can't tell the difference between newbie errors and intentional abuse, then, 
in making correctional statements about etiquette etc., these people are 
just being facetious and hipocritical. Hipocritical because it is they, in 
my view, that are showing bad etiquette.

Now lets get on with what this mail list is really about, cut out the crap 
and have a smile!
