[cobalt-users] htaccess not working.

I still haven't figured out how to get my password protected directories (using 
.htaccess files) to work again.  They stopped working after I modified my 
httpd.conf and srm.conf.  I commented out references to php3 in those files 
(recently upgraded to php4).  Since then, my password protected directories 
do not work.  When I access them with a web browser, I receive an authentication 
required error instead of being asked for a username and password.  Does anyone 
have an idea of what might have happened?  Does anyone have a suggestion as to 
where to find the answer?  I think I'll check my back up versions of the conf files to 
see if I can spot something.  Any help would be appreciated.  This is driving me crazy.
