Hi.
A solution to your problem is very simple and easy to implement.
All you have to do is add the command to your /etc/rc.d/rc.local
file. Now, every time you restart the machine your command (and
any others you wish to add there) will be executed upon startup
of your system.
Example:
/usr/sbin/route add default 167.80.54.1
This is the quick and easy way. The other way is to write a script
to execute at the appropriate runlevel, rc2.d, rc3.d, etc. For very
small tasks, adding to your rc.local file is more than adequate.
Cheers.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Route Add
Hi all,
We just installed a few Qube2's and we want to access these boxes from one
location. We have leased lines/routers to these places. At the moment I have
to telnet (locally) into each and do a route add - until I reboot any of
them and I have to add the routes again.
Is there a possibility in Linux to add a route on startup automatically?
TIA
