Hi George.
First - please install SSH. You and your customers will
sleep better at night. Go with OpenSSH - I believe the
location and all instructions are in the archives.
In the meantime - all you need do is:
telnet <servername>
Login: admin
Password: XXXXXXXXX
server$ su - root
Password: XXXXXXXX
server# vi /etc/proftpd.conf
{edit}
<esc>
:wq
server# exit
server$ exit
poof! you're done
Good luck.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Telnet
Hi,
Any Telnet gurus around? I have a Raq4 and can login to root
directory...but
then I'm dead. I'm trying to edit the etc/proftpd.conf file to insert
the glogal command so I change/edit files from FTP
Thanks
George Zimmerman
