According to the original post, Dave's RaQ has a clock that runs about
50% faster than realtime. This is, methinks, not likely to be ProFTPd's
fault. (Note also that a fix for the chmod and GMTtime problems has
already been posted to the list.)
In PC's, fast clocks are generally a BIOS issue. I'd get on the horn to
Cobalt, since I've always required either NTP updates every five minutes
or a hardware replacement. But, do check to see if there possibly could
be another cause.
