Re: [cobalt-users] [Raq3] File permissions- rejected from admin

Just finished Long wait and talk with Cobalt Tech support.

Yes the recent update {HYPERLINK "http://ftp.cobalt.com/pub/packages/raq3/eng/RaQ3-All-System-3.0.1-6449.pkg"}
Is the problem. For security reasons from now on we all have
to use Telnet ! They don't support or fix any problems associated
with this update... Daugh, So they all shoot us in the foot then want
to charge for a fix.... BS.... Cobalt needs to get their act together.
So if you can't FTP Chmod after the update. Your going to spend
hours telnetting in to any site just to chmod directories and scripts.
my 10cents, Lennie

I don't know if this applies to changing permissions also, but I can no
longer upload files by FTP using admin having passed the limit.

"Check to see if admin is a part of more than 32 groups. If admin is a part
of more than 32 groups, there will be a permission denied message when
trying to upload with FTP. This is a limitation with the Linux OS."

If you search the Cobalt Knowledge Base for error 550 you will find
this message, it also tells how to fix it.
