I think my ISP might have updated it without asking me. I see
the src tree in the usr/src direcotry and it was created day
before yesterday. Whatever it does, I'm not sure, but it did
fix the problem of the time resetting after reboots...woohoo!

Not likely. :)
All-Kernel_i386-1.1.pkg updates the kernel. If you installed
this, which
you should have, it will update your kernel.
