Try to get a Cisco Catalyst 2924XL--very nice, and fairly affordable.
I also really like HP Procurve Switches, 2424M would be very good.
A managed switch that supports SNMP is a must. If you want the low-down on
an absolute killer deal on a fairly full featured managed switch, check out
http://www.centrix-intl.com. They have a Samsung SS6216S (same as a DLINK
3216 or whatever) for like $400 shipped. Killer deal, they typically go for
like $900.
