RE: [cobalt-users] newsgroup server

Two thoughts:

1.) I ran a small ISP with about 5,000 customers in Miami a long time ago. Well
over 3,000 used our news server, and that poor thing was chugging along as best
it could. It was also a glorified PC with but two SCSI drives to hold data; so
not a lot of horsepower. You *can* use a news server with some pretty heavy
loads: on today's hardware, I should think 1,700 users is not a problem.

2.) Can someone suggest a (free) newsreader for Windows?
