The Cobalt KB is correct, but it is referring to the RaQ2 and RaQ3, *not* the
RaQ4.  The PHP4 pre-installed on the RaQ4 was already compiled with MySQL
support so in this case when MySQL is installed after the PHP installation it
works - I know from experience.  I don't believe there are *any* documents in
the Cobalt Knowledge Base that deal with the RaQ4.
