[cobalt-users] Site Users?

I don't have a RaQ3 or RaQ4 on my network so I don't know if this
has been addressed yet. I do recall the long discussions over
the problems with admin when a user can only belong to a maximum
of 32 groups in Linux.

What I was wondering was there ever a solution produced for this?

I would be interested in seeing something along the following:

The UI and FP Extensions are modified so instead of simply checking
the site group, they also check the wheel or similiar group. The
admin user remains in the wheel group and any other accounts for
which you might want to have people controlling the server would go
here -- having different accounts combined with username logging gives
better auditing trails. Then whenever a site is created, you can
specify up to 1 username and password as an optional site administrator,
of course you could still create additional site admins from the
UI as before, but being able to setup an entire site on one page
would have saved me lots of time on the occasions of moving a large
number of sites.

I'm assuming the UI changes needed for this are trivial to check
two groups, and to add the ability to create a site admin from the
site creation block still seems rather simple. The FP Extensions
shouldn't be /that/ hard to accomplish IF Cobalt has access to the
source code. The idea to extend these changes into the FP Extensions
is to support other companies that might be similiar to the one where
I work in which we do both web hosting and development, if I could add
our web developers to the main site and by that allow them FP access
to any FP web enabled site it would simplify the administrative tasks
involved in situations where they are designing/editing multiple sites
hosted on the same RaQ.
