[cobalt-users] adding MIME types
Folks:
A client of mine has a Web site that is primarily a Flash (4)
movie. After recently moving him to our (Cobalt Raq3) server, the
site "broke" and tends to cause Netscape to freeze. (what DOESN'T
cause Netscape to freeze?!)
Right away, I suspected that we didn't have the MIME types
for Flash on the server, yet. I checked the "mime.types" file in
httpd's directory and saw the they were missing from the default
setup, so I added them (as "root", via pico).
However, the site's Flash still freezes Netscape (it WAS
working on the other server!). So, I'm wondering if I need to restart
something (httpd??) in order for the new MIME types to be recognized,
or if this happens automatically when a new file is loaded (from the
browser). Any thoughts/solutions would be welcome.
The site address is: http://www.appletonlloyd.com/
