I presume that you cannot get online merchant status with your bank yet?
If you can, then I would highlighy recommend speaking to SECPay
(www.secpay.com) who charge only 39p per transaction, you have to pay the
bank rate which is usually 3 to 4% (we use them and can offer you more
help/advice offline about this).
If you cannot get merchant status yet (which can be a real problem in the
UK), then NetBanx (www.netbanx.com) has a bureau service which I believe
currently charges 8%, everything included. This is a pretty good rate if you
have no merchant status with a bank. We used to use this service until we
were able to qualify for online merchant status and signed up with SECPay.
