I think he also means things like Pine...
According to the login screen, the RaQ3 has the standard 'Mail' program, as
well as the 'Pine' mail reader (I prefer pine...) installed, but I can't see
anything else.  ( I searched the Manual Pages with the keyword 'mail' to see
what came up...)

Off the RaQ, you can retrieve mail with a Pop3/SMTP mail client like Eudora,
Pegasus Mail or Outlook and Outlook Express.

On the RaQ itself: If you install Xwindows, I'm sure there are some mail
readers you can get for that environment that are quite a bit better than
Pine (check Linux.org for these too). :) And, you may be able to install
some kind of web based email reader, but I haven't worked with them yet, so
I don't know what to suggest on that front.  Linux.org has some good links
and info on packages you can add to your RaQ for email...
