According to Jeff Lasman there is. He's posted on the subject...oh, a
dozen times. A search of the archives for something like "Lasman"
"wildcard" should take you to his posts. Not to be rude, but if you put a
little thought into search terms and actually spend 2 or 3 minutes
searching the archives before posting to this list, you'll find a lot of
your answers. Also, spend another 2 minutes searching on google.com. I
think most people will agree that it's common courtesy to spend 5 minutes
of research before asking a question here that's probably been asked and
answered 10-100 times. This isn't meant solely for you, Cmopollux (it's
nice how AOL users don't have real names, very personal), but *all* of the
users on this list that bog it down with unnecessary traffic b/c they are
too lazy, ignorant or rude to show the rest of us that spend hours every
week on this list helping and advising people who actually deserve it some
common courtesy.

BTW, there are some really good Linux sites on the web. Plese find 1 or 2
good ones and spend some time there. http://www.linuxdoc.org/ would be
a good start. Buy a couple of Linux books. $50 will get you everything
you need.

And join some of the Linux lists out there. Like the ISP-LINUX Discussion
List. To Join: mailto:join-isp-linux@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx inet-access.net is
another one you may want to check out. I don't have the subscribe address
so check on google.com.

If one person reads this and starts checking the archives and search
engines or buys a Linux book I'll consider that a success. :-)
