I'm not aware of any recent RPMs on the MySQL site that will run on the
Mips architecture (architecture of RaQ2s). The tarball distribution
installs fine on the RaQ2 though. I've been running the latest stable
version (3.22.32) on my RaQ2s for months. I've also run several releases
of the development version on the RaQ2s without any problems. The most
recent development version (3.23.22) was released in the last week or two.
If you want to keep your current install, you can install a second MySQL
server on your RaQ2 on a different port and using a different socket file
and run both MySQL servers simultaneously. I run several MySQL servers
per physical box in order to optimize each one for the applications /
sites using it.
