Re: [cobalt-users] eCommerce solution? (RaQ3)

Well, my boss wants to use something call ihtml (ihtml.com) which does
mall thing and can allow your customers to be in the mall or independent.
When a user comes into the mall they get one shopping cart and can run
around from store to store, if you set it up that way, and then check out
at one place. It looks real nice... it scares me, actually, that such a
thing exists... and I'm afraid of what the installation entails... but you
can check 'em out. It's easy to add stores and products and such, once you
get the installation done, it's like all from the browser... and it seemed
to me to have so much features that you could satisfy any customer without
having to get in and do code modifications to the program. Comes with
store templates and a tutorial of sorts to tell you how to make your own
templates. and the templates are pretty nice themselves.

I'm wanting to use phpshop (sourceforge.com (?)) which is a php/mysql
shopping system. It's still underdevelopement but it looks good. Only a
single store kinda thing, I believe. They're workin' towards the mall
setup, thoguh. Oh, did I mention that this was free?
